 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  National Convention: PDP extends deadline for submission of forms


The National Convention Organizing Committee, NCOC of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has extended the deadline for the submission of completed Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for aspirants contesting in the November 15th to 16th 2025 Elective National Convention of the Party in Ibadan, Oyo State from the earlier announced date of Friday, September 26th, 2025.


In the same vein, the NCOC approved the shifting of the date for the Screening of Aspirants for the National Convention from the earlier scheduled date of tuesday, September 30th, 2025.


The information contained in a statement signed by PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Debo Olugunagba says the extension is necessitated by the need to ensure all necessary arrangements for a smooth conduct of the exercise. 


The PDP says the new dates will be communicated in due course and urges all aspirants to take note of  the extension and be guided accordingly.
