 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings.  Governor Alex Otti Warns Against Election Manipulation, Denies Defection Rumours


Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has dismissed rumours suggesting he plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Speaking during a media chat in Abia State yesterday, the governor stated firmly that he remains committed to his current political platform and to serving the people of Abia faithfully.


Otti also issued a strong warning to individuals allegedly plotting to manipulate the 2027 governorship election results, saying: 

“Those planning to write the Abia State governorship election results in 2027 should first write their own will, because this is our state and we cannot be intimidated.”

He emphasized that Abia belongs to its people and that any attempt to subvert the democratic will of the electorate will be met with firm resistance.


The governor reiterated his administration’s focus on good governance, transparency, and development, assuring citizens that no amount of political pressure or intimidation would derail his vision for the state.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
