 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  LAGOS TO HOST Y2025 INAUGURAL AFRICA COLLOQUIUM AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING


The Lagos State Government is set to host the Inaugural Africa Colloquium Against Human Trafficking, themed “A United Front Against Ritual Abuse and Sacrifice.”


In a statement signed by the Honorable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN, the landmark event will convene delegates from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California, Policymakers, Legal Advocates, and Experts across Africa to strengthen the fight against Human Trafficking and Ritual Abuse.


The Conference will be held at Radisson Blu Hotel, GRA Ikeja from Thursday 23rd to Friday 24th, October 2025.


The Statement also adds that the Y2025 colloquium represents pivotal steps in forging partnerships and driving sustainable strategies to combat human trafficking and Ritual Abuse, protect victims and ensure justice for survivors.
