 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Madugu, Moshood, Super Falcons nominated for CAF awards

Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu has been nominated for the CAF Coach of the Year award for 2025.


Madugu guided the Super Falcons to win a record-extending 10th title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco this summer.


The Super Falcons defeated the hosts 3-2 in the final of the competition.


Nine other coaches are also in the running for the award


Flamingos captain, Shakirat Moshood is also nominated for the Young Player of the Year award.


Moshood will lead the Flamingos at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.


The Super Falcons are in the running for the National Team of the Year.
