 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Four Limpopo Police Officers Arrested for House Robbery in Mpumalanga


Four SAPS members from Limpopo, three male officers and one female officer aged between 29 and 41, were arrested in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga, along with a civilian in connection with a house robbery that took place in Mashishing on Thursday night, 9 October 2025.


According to preliminary reports, the victims, all Ethiopian nationals, were asleep when they were ambushed by the suspects.


The police officers have since been suspended in line with the SAPS Discipline Regulations of 2016, and the matter is being dealt with departmentally.


All five suspects remain in custody and are expected to appear before the Mashishing Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 13 October 2025, facing charges of house robbery.
