 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Sultan Of Sokoto  Sa'ad Abubakar Urges Muslims To Project Nigeria's Unity


Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Muhammed Sa'ad Abubakar III at the council's Expanded General Purpose Committee Meeting holding in Abuja urged Muslim faithful to

show actions that will sustain and project unity in Nigeria. 


As a religious body,  he reiterated commitment on behalf of other leaders to play a positive role in addressing the current challenges of negative commentaries about the religious status of Nigerians.


He cautioned the  use of social media as a tool for propaganda, propagating personal negative narratives about Nigeria. 


Also at the meeting is the Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris, who says the desire of the current administration is not to build a nation through guns but by saying the truth.


Recent happenigs within the past few days where some people had alleged Nigeria as a country of religious intolerance the Minister said is Fake news that is endangering  democracy.


He unequivocally stated the position of President Bola Tinubu to  preserve the unity and respect the sovereignty of Nigeria assuring that all diplomatic channels activated are working towards building peace and security in Nigeria.
