 Man brutalises his pregnant wife in Anambra  In another case of domestic violence, a pregnant woman was brutally beaten by her husband in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The mother of three identified as Chinelo Francis, from Ebonyi State, said trouble began when she requested money from her husband, Peter, to prepare food.  According to the young woman, she had already bought vegetable with the profit she made from her shop. Peter, also from Ebonyi, claimed he didn’t make money that day and took the children home.  He returned to her shop at around 8:00 PM and insisted she close up and come home with him.  She refused, explaining that the time was when she typically made most of her sales.  Later, she closed up her shop, went home at 9:30 PM, prepared the children for bed, and retired.  "The federal government must be careful with the Nnamdi kanu case, because whatever happens, we will not forget- Hon. Obi Aguocha


Hon. Obi Aguocha member representing ikwuano/umuahia North/umuahia South federal comstituency in the national Assembly has called on the President to handle the case of Nnamdi Kanu with utmost carefulness, speaking to the press after mazi Nnamdi kanu case today, he stressed  that the action or inaction of the Federal Government on the matter could have lasting effects on the relationship between the South-East and the central government.


According to him, the South-East region has continued to experience unfavourable treatment, suggesting that there appears to be a "different set of laws applied to the south east." He warned that such perceived injustice and unequal treatment could wipe the goodwill the President currently enjoys in the region.


Hon. Aguocha further stated that the people of the South-East will not forget the events surrounding the handling of the Nnamdi Kanu case, emphasizing that even if the current generation forgives, future generations will remember.


"whatever happens now, Nigeria should know that we will not forget, even though we forget our children and grandchildren will not forget." He said.
