 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. Hon. Obi Aguocha member representing ikwuano/umuahia North/umuahia South federal comstituency in the national Assembly has called on the President to handle the case of Nnamdi Kanu with utmost carefulness, speaking to the press after mazi Nnamdi kanu case today, he stressed  that the action or inaction of the Federal Government on the matter could have lasting effects on the relationship between the South-East and the central government.


According to him, the South-East region has continued to experience unfavourable treatment, suggesting that there appears to be a "different set of laws applied to the south east." He warned that such perceived injustice and unequal treatment could wipe the goodwill the President currently enjoys in the region.


Hon. Aguocha further stated that the people of the South-East will not forget the events surrounding the handling of the Nnamdi Kanu case, emphasizing that even if the current generation forgives, future generations will remember.
