 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. 21-YEAR-OLD JUSTIN GOLDEN HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO 30 YEARS IN PRISON AFTER PLEADING GUILTY TO AGGRAVATED MANSLAUGHTER OF A CHILD IN THE DEATH OF HIS SON, PABLO KYE GOLDEN.(PHOTO).

 In a heartbreaking case from Jacksonville, Florida, 21-year-old Justin Golden has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated manslaughter of a child in the death of his son, Pablo Kye Golden.

 The incident occurred on January 25, 2025, following a dispute, when Golden placed his 8-month-old son on the ground near an intersection, where the child was struck by a vehicle.  


During the sentencing hearing on December 19, Golden expressed deep remorse, stating: “While I did not intend to harm my son... I failed as his protector and father.” His words reflected the gravity of the tragedy and the lasting impact of his actions.  


The judge imposed the maximum sentence of 30 years, emphasizing the profound violation of trust inherent in the case. Our thoughts are with Pablo’s family and everyone affected by this devastating loss during such a difficult time.
