 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Missing 15-Year-Old Girl Found Dead; Father Sought by Police in Hlanganani


 Police in Hlanganani have opened a murder case following the discovery of the lifeless body of a 15-year-old girl at Rotterdam Village.


 The deceased has been identified as Xilaveko Suke, who was previously reported missing together with her biological father, Peter Themba Baloyi.


 Xilaveko was reported missing on Monday, 22 December 2025, after she allegedly left home with her father, reportedly travelling to Giyani.


 A public appeal was issued to the community to assist in locating the missing pair.


 On Thursday, 25 December 2025, at about 08:50, police received a report of a body discovered at the father’s residence in Rotterdam Village. Upon arrival, the deceased’s paternal grandmother pointed out the body of a young girl inside a one-room house.


 Police confirmed that the body was that of the missing 15-year-old and noted visible injuries consistent with a stabbing.


 The whereabouts of the father remain unknown, and he is now being sought by police in connection with the murder.


 Later on the same day, at around 18:00, police were alerted that the father’s house had been set alight. Officers attended the scene, and investigations into the arson are underway.


 Police investigations into the murder and related incidents are continuing. Anyone with information that may assist police in tracing the missing father or help with the investigation is urged to contact the investigating officer, Captain Walter Marivate, on 082 468 8673.
