 Man brutalises his pregnant wife in Anambra  In another case of domestic violence, a pregnant woman was brutally beaten by her husband in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The mother of three identified as Chinelo Francis, from Ebonyi State, said trouble began when she requested money from her husband, Peter, to prepare food.  According to the young woman, she had already bought vegetable with the profit she made from her shop. Peter, also from Ebonyi, claimed he didn’t make money that day and took the children home.  He returned to her shop at around 8:00 PM and insisted she close up and come home with him.  She refused, explaining that the time was when she typically made most of her sales.  Later, she closed up her shop, went home at 9:30 PM, prepared the children for bed, and retired.  Missing 15-Year-Old Girl Found Dead; Father Sought by Police in Hlanganani


 Police in Hlanganani have opened a murder case following the discovery of the lifeless body of a 15-year-old girl at Rotterdam Village.


 The deceased has been identified as Xilaveko Suke, who was previously reported missing together with her biological father, Peter Themba Baloyi.


 Xilaveko was reported missing on Monday, 22 December 2025, after she allegedly left home with her father, reportedly travelling to Giyani.


 A public appeal was issued to the community to assist in locating the missing pair.


 On Thursday, 25 December 2025, at about 08:50, police received a report of a body discovered at the father’s residence in Rotterdam Village. Upon arrival, the deceased’s paternal grandmother pointed out the body of a young girl inside a one-room house.


 Police confirmed that the body was that of the missing 15-year-old and noted visible injuries consistent with a stabbing.


 The whereabouts of the father remain unknown, and he is now being sought by police in connection with the murder.


 Later on the same day, at around 18:00, police were alerted that the father’s house had been set alight. Officers attended the scene, and investigations into the arson are underway.


 Police investigations into the murder and related incidents are continuing. Anyone with information that may assist police in tracing the missing father or help with the investigation is urged to contact the investigating officer, Captain Walter Marivate, on 082 468 8673.
