Paramount launches hostile bid for Warner Bros., countering Netflix’s $72 billion offer  Paramount has launched a hostile bid to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery, directly challenging Netflix just days after the streaming giant reached a $72 billion agreement to take over the company. In its announcement Monday, Paramount said it is bypassing Warner Bros. leadership and appealing directly to shareholders with a $30-per-share all-cash offer for the entire company, including the Global Networks division. The company urged investors to reject the Netflix deal, which remains subject to approval. Paramount argued that the Netflix proposal would drag shareholders into a lengthy and uncertain regulatory process across multiple countries, while also tying their financial future to what it described as a complicated mix of cash and stock.  PAY ME MY MONEY, GRAPHIC DESIGNER BLASTS BURUKU REPS ASPIRANT OVER UNSETTLED BILL




A graphic designer, Ortyom Gabriel Chigh, has publicly called out Hon. Haakyav Tombu Peter, a House of Representatives aspirant for Buruku Federal Constituency in Benue State, over an unpaid design job.


Chigh, who said he met the politician on the streets of Abuja two years ago, explained that he agreed to design campaign posters for him out of goodwill and shared cultural ties. According to him, the posters were delivered promptly and posted online by the politician within minutes.


However, the designer claims it took Hon. Peter five hours to even ask for the price, and after sending his account details, he received no payment for more than 24 hours. When he followed up again after being ignored, he said the politician allegedly labelled him “disrespectful” and went as far as blocking him.


Chigh expressed frustration, stating that the amount involved was small but the disrespect and arrogance were unacceptable. He insisted that he works hard to earn a legitimate living and has never had to confront anyone over payment before.


He is now appealing to the public to help urge the politician to settle the debt, warning that he won’t hesitate to confront him physically if they cross paths.


According to Chigh, “The money no even reach anything, na money for beer. But respect is respect.”


He also alleged knowledge of where Hon. Peter was staying in Makurdi, insisting he only wants what is owed to him.
