 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026. Police ACP slumps and dies in Abakaliki.


The police Community in Ebonyi State has been thrown into mourning following the death of an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Ogbon-Inu Taiwo Popoola.


The deceased an officer in charge of the State Intelligence Department (SID), reportedly slumped during a management meeting at the Command Headquarters Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, around 11 o'clock in the morning


According to the police source as disclosed to NTA, he suddenly developed breathing difficulties and began gasping for breath during the meeting, prompting his being rushed to the hospital for medical attention.


Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations officer in the state, DSP Joshua Ukandu, said he had crisis during a meeting and was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately, could not survive it.


Meanwhile, his remains have been deposited at the morgue of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital (AE-FUTHA 1) in Abakaliki.
