 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Ralph Lauren reveals Team USA uniforms for Olympic ceremonies


Team USA will make a stylish entrance and exit at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics, sporting new uniforms unveiled by Ralph Lauren for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. This marks the brand’s 10th consecutive Olympics as the official outfitter for U.S. athletes.

For the Opening Ceremony at Milan’s San Siro Stadium, Team USA will wear an all-white ensemble featuring a wool coat with wooden toggles, a wool American flag turtleneck sweater, and wool trousers. The Closing Ceremony look at Verona Arena is more colorful, inspired by vintage ski racing kits, and includes a color-blocked puffer jacket, a patriotic wool sweater, and white utility pants. Both uniforms are completed with intarsia knit hats and mittens, leather belts, and suede alpine boots, all manufactured in the U.S.

The Ralph Lauren Team USA Collection will be available for purchase starting December 4 at select Ralph Lauren stores, department stores, and online. The collection offers apparel and accessories for men, women, and children, including leather shearling jackets with Team USA embroidery, statement sweaters, puffer jackets, printed fleece outerwear, and hockey-inspired pieces.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
