Blaming opposition for hunger is ‘delusion’, Atiku tells Tinubu Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of blaming the opposition for the country’s economic hardship. He said the President was trying to evade responsibility for his administration’s policies. Tinubu had earlier on Saturday blamed his political opponents for hunger and poverty in the country while speaking at the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna. “I hear my opponent talking about hunger, poverty. Who created it? They did! They created the hunger, they created the poverty. We are trying to eradicate it,” the President said.  Undocumented Mozambican Shop Owner Arrested for Stolen Firearm


• A 30-year-old undocumented Mozambican spaza shop owner was arrested in Embalenhle on Wednesday, 03 December 2025.


• The arrest was carried out by the Secunda-based Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation unit, with support from the Secunda K9 Unit.


•Information received on 24 November 2025 indicated that the suspect, who operates a spaza shop at Embalenhle Gate 6, was in possession of a firearm.


• Hawks officers conducted surveillance and later obtained a search warrant.


• During the operation on 03 December, the search warrant was executed and a firearm, reported stolen in March 2021, was recovered with its serial number intact.


• Six live rounds of ammunition were also seized.


• The firearm will undergo ballistic testing to check if it is linked to other crimes.


• The suspect is expected to appear before the Evander Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 04 December 2025.
