 Ferdinand Ekeoma Criticises Abia APC Chairman Chijioke Chukwu Over Remarks on State Governance Senior Special Assistant to Governor Alex Otti on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, has responded sharply to recent statements by the Abia State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Chijioke Chukwu, describing them as inaccurate, uninformed, and disconnected from the realities of governance in the state. In a statement issued on March 21, 2026, Ekeoma addressed Chukwu’s claims during a recent engagement in Ikwuano Local Government Area, where the APC chairman criticised the Labour Party administration for alleged poor performance and lack of development. Ekeoma highlighted what he described as inconsistencies in Chukwu’s political record and public statements.  APGA Issues Guidelines for Stakeholder Selection/Screening Exercise


The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has released official guidelines for the Stakeholder Selection/Screening Exercise scheduled to hold on February 9 and 10, 2026.


In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, APGA clarified that only aspirants who were successfully cleared by the Screening Committee during the first stage of the screening process are eligible to participate in the exercise


The party also stated that only duly recognized stakeholders and delegates whose names appear on the official stakeholders’ list published by the party will be allowed to vote. According to the notice, eligible delegates will undergo accreditation and verification using valid means of identification, strictly limited to a Voter’s Card, National Identity Card, or Driver’s License. No other form of identification will be accepted.


APGA further disclosed that the mode of election/screening will be conducted through a secret ballot to ensure transparency and credibility.


Additionally, the party reminded current and serving mayors that they are barred from participating in the Stakeholder Selection/Screening Exercise and are not eligible to be voted for during the process.


The party urged all delegates and aspirants to conduct themselves peacefully and in line with the principles of progressive politics throughout the exercise.
