PRESS RELEASE May 8, 2026 CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT IN CIRCULATION NOT OFFICIALLY RELEASED, BUT CONTENTS FURTHER AFFIRM ABDULRAHMAN AND ANYANWU’S LEADERSHIP OF THE PDP 1. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has become aware of the circulation of a purported Certified True Copy (CTC) of the recent Supreme Court judgment relating to matters concerning the party. 2. The PDP wishes to categorically state that the document currently in circulation was not officially released by the Supreme Court. A careful examination of the purported CTC reveals that it falls short of the established requirements for proper certification of official court documents. The pages were neither duly certified, stamped, nor signed by any authorized court officer in accordance with legally recognized procedures. 3.  El-Rufai’s Media Aide Alleges Security Agents Attempted Arrest, Seized Passport at Airport


Muyiwa Adekeye, Media Adviser to former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai, stated today that security agents attempted to arrest El-Rufai upon his arrival on a flight from Cairo. According to Adekeye, El-Rufai declined to accompany the agents without a formal invitation, after which they took his passport from an aide.


The full statement from Adekeye reads:  

"Security agents today attempted to arrest Malam Nasir elrufai as he arrived on a flight from Cairo. Malam El-Rufai declined to follow them without a formal Invitation. They however snatched his passport from an aide."
