 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. The planes have brought in technical ​equipment as well as dozens of physicians, engineers, lab experts and construction work...

NASS Approves 68.3 Trillion Naira 2026 National Budget Bill

‎The National Assembly has passed the 2026 Appropriation Bill totaling Sixty Eight point Three Trillion Naira. 

‎The increase in the 2026 budget size with an additional 9 trillion naira followed President Tinubu's request to the Senate and  House of Representatives which was expeditiously approved by both chambers. 

‎The budget increase is to enable alignment with financing plans and to preserve macro economic stability. 

‎The Senate and House of Representatives also approved two seperate loan requests from the President.

‎The first is for a  five billion US dollars loan from the First Abu Dhabi Bank of the United Arab Emirates to establish an external financing programme.

‎The other request was for the sourcing  of 1.9 billion US Dollars from Citi Bank of London to enable the upgrade of the Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports in Lagos.
