 Ondo State Governor Aiyedatiwa Unveils N400 Million Bursary and Scholarship Fund for 13,360 Students Akure, Ondo State - Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has officially flagged off the 2026 bursary, scholarship, and financial assistance programme, committing N400 million to support 13,360 students of Ondo State origin currently enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The significant initiative, aimed at bolstering educational development, was launched on Tuesday at the Cocoa Conference Centre of the Governor’s Office in Akure, the state capital. Extensive Support Across Student Categories During the event, Governor Aiyedatiwa provided a detailed breakdown of the beneficiaries, highlighting the inclusive nature of the scheme. The programme will see 11,907 students receiving bursary awards, while 614 outstanding students have been granted scholarships. SHIITES, TOOK TO THE STREETS OF NORTHERN STATES ON SUNDAY TO PROTEST OVER THE KILLING OF IRAN’S SUPREME LEADER, AYATOLLAH ALI KHAMENEI. (PHOTO).

 Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), popularly  known as Shiites, took to the streets of Northern States on Sunday to protest over the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.


Shiites in Nigeria led by leader Ibrahim El-Zakzaky had a protest on Sunday shortly after it was reported that Khamenei has been killed in an airstrikes operation carried out on Iran by the United States and Israel military.


 The members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) were seen in social media video on Sunday, chatting freedom to Iran , death  to America.


The mass protest occurred in Some northern States, with protesters marching through some parts of the states chanting solidarity slogans and waving Iranian flags and placards bearing inscriptions “We Stand With Iran.”
