I Regret Nothing - Mussolini’s Granddaughter Wins Italy’s Celebrity Big Brother

Alessandra Mussolini has emerged as the winner of Italy’s Grande Fratello VIP, the country’s Celebrity Big Brother format, securing the public vote after more than two months in the house.

The 63 year old, who is the granddaughter of Benito Mussolini, claimed the title and the prize of around $116,000 after 63 days in the competition.

She reportedly received 55.95 percent of viewer votes in the final, according to local reports.

In the final stage of the show, Alessandra faced off against actress and television personality Antonella Elia, ultimately taking the win after a closely followed vote.

Speaking after her victory, Alessandra reflected on her time in the house with confidence and satisfaction.

“I enjoyed everything to the fullest, just as I am. I regret nothing,” she said, according to reports.

Before her reality TV appearance, Alessandra had a long public career as an actress, singer, and later as a Member of the European Parliament.

She is the daughter of Romano Mussolini, Benito Mussolini’s youngest child, and Maria Scicolone, who is the sister of Italian actress Sophia Loren.

Her family history has often placed her in the public spotlight in Italy and beyond. Over the years, she has at times spoken openly about her grandfather’s legacy, a figure who ruled Italy for two decades and aligned with Adolf Hitler during World War II.

Alessandra has previously drawn attention for comments in which she expressed pride in her family background, a stance that has long been controversial in Italian political discourse. In 1992, she entered politics with the neo-fascist Italian Social Movement, known as MSI, a party that also counted future Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni among its early members in her youth.

The presence of Mussolini’s legacy in modern Italian culture remains a subject of debate, with some commentators raising concerns about how historical figures linked to fascism are discussed in mainstream media and entertainment.

During her time on Grande Fratello VIP, Alessandra described the experience as deeply fulfilling, saying she focused on being authentic rather than labels or expectations.

“People didn’t know me in this light, only there did they see my daily life,” she said in an interview, adding that her approach throughout the show was to remain true to herself “beyond any label and prejudice.”

She also described the experience overall as “incredibly rewarding,” marking a new chapter in a public life that has moved between entertainment, politics, and long standing historical scrutiny.
