 A Missouri man launched an attack on his ex and her new boyfriend using a homemade flame thrower.  The unorthodox and unsettling attack occurred on June 13th at a home on Old County Road in Franklin County, Missouri.  On that evening, deputies were called to the home after Christopher Viehland entered a home occupied by his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend. Christopher was wielding a modified fire extinguisher that was filled with gasoline. The would-be weapon had the word "flame thrower" hand written on it. There is no evidence that the device was ever functional as a flame thrower.  Christopher did use it to douse his ex-girlfriend with gasoline. However, a scuffle between Christopher and her current boyfriend ensued. During the fight, Christopher struck the victim in the head with a flashlight, causing a laceration to his head.  Jill Biden insists Joe and Kamala 'still friends' a year and a half after election fallout


At a recent book event in Washington, D.C., Jill Biden emphasized that her husband Joe Biden and Kamala Harris remain friends, despite tensions suggested in Harris’ memoir. She explained that the two still speak on the phone and insisted that Joe does not hold grudges. 


Harris, however, wrote in 107 Days that Biden’s ego hindered her presidential campaign and the Democratic Party’s efforts to stop Donald Trump from winning another term, describing his decision-making as reckless rather than graceful.


Jill Biden expressed surprise at Harris’ portrayal, noting that she believed the two couples Joe and Jill alongside Kamala and Doug Emhoff had worked well together. She recalled that when Joe stepped aside, he fully entrusted Harris with leadership, showing confidence in her abilities. 


Harris’ memoir, combined with Jill’s book tour, has fueled speculation about Harris’ political future, particularly as she has hinted at the possibility of running for president again.


Harris has left the door open for a third bid, telling Rev. Al Sharpton earlier this year that she was considering another campaign. 


Polling data from Emerson College in May showed her with 10% support, trailing behind figures like Gavin Newsom, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Pete Buttigieg. 


When asked at her book event whether Harris should run again, Jill Biden declined to give a definitive answer, underscoring the uncertainty surrounding Harris’ next political move.
