Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been candid about the heartbreak and resilience that defined their journey to parenthood. In Barker’s documentary Louder Than Fear, which premiered at Tribeca on June 13, Kardashian recalled the devastation of their first miscarriage just six months into their relationship, saying, “We cried for days.”
The couple had chosen the name Tulip for their baby girl, but at three months learned there was no heartbeat. Determined to build a family together, they endured five rounds of IVF over eight months before deciding in May 2023 to stop treatments and try naturally.
Just weeks later, Kardashian announced her pregnancy in dramatic fashion at a Blink‑182 concert, holding a sign that read, “Travis I’m pregnant.” Yet another loss followed three months later, when doctors again found no heartbeat. Kardashian required urgent fetal surgery, and she later expressed gratitude for Barker’s unwavering support during that ordeal.
Their persistence was ultimately rewarded with the birth of their son Rocky in November 2023.
The new arrival joined Kardashian’s three children Mason, Penelope, and Reign from her relationship with Scott Disick, and Barker’s two children, Landon and Alabama, from his marriage to Shanna Moakler.
Their story reflects both the pain of repeated loss and the strength of shared commitment, showing how love and perseverance carried them through to a new chapter as parents together.
