Ariana Grande's 'Petal' music video prompts online debate over her appearance

Ariana Grande's new music video for "Petal" has prompted widespread discussion online, with many fans commenting on her appearance while others called for an end to speculation about her body.

The video, released on Friday, features Grande portraying an actress at an audition. She wears a retro-inspired outfit with black leggings, an off-the-shoulder top, matching scarf, pearl earrings and her signature ponytail styled with tight curls.

Sharing a clip from the video on social media, the Grammy winner wrote, "petal ꕤ 。˚ music video out now."

Following its release, some social media users expressed concern about Grande's appearance, while others urged people not to speculate about her health.

Several supporters argued that public discussion about her body was inappropriate, saying the focus should remain on her music rather than her appearance.

Others defended the singer by stressing that body-shaming applies regardless of a person's size and encouraged fans to respect her privacy.
