A 16-year-old Texas boy was struck by a school bus before being dragged and left catastrophically injured.

Jakxon Kessler was leaving the campus at Clear Lake High School in Harris County, Texas, on October 16th, when an accident with a school bus wrecked his junior year.

As Jakxon hopped on his bicycle and began the journey home, he was struck by a school bus. After being struck Jakxon was dragged for approximately 30 feet.

Every second of the ordeal was agony, and Jakxon has a very long road to healing ahead.

During the course of the accident, Jakxon's right ear was almost completely torn off. His spine was seriously fractured, and both shoulder blades were fully broken.

These are a combined set of injuries that are extremely painful and hard to recover from.

Jakxon has already been fighting the good fight and several surgeries and blood transfusion in the rear view.

Although both parents are grateful Jakxon survived, they hope his ordeal will herald in better supervision during the release of students from the school when the school day is over.

They also hope other children will see Jakxon's ordeal and remember to keep a sharp eye on other vehicles while riding their bike.

We hope Jakxon has a full recovery.
