Borno State Governor and chairman of the north-east governors’ forum, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, is hosting governors from the six states of the north-east for the forum’s 13th regular meeting.
The statement indicates that the two-day regional summit is holding from friday, october 2, to saturday, october 3, 2026, at the multipurpose hall of the government house in maiduguri.
It adds that the high-level meeting brings together the chief executives of adamawa, bauchi, borno, gombe, taraba, and yobe states to discuss strategic issues affecting the region.
The statement further notes that as a platform for regional cooperation and joint policy implementation, the forum focuses on developing collaborative solutions to shared challenges.
The Governors are expected to deliberate on key issues, including strengthening regional security, promoting good governance, fostering peaceful coexistence, and improving the socio-economic well-being of citizens across the north-east.
