It is not your business what they pay Nigerian actors- Kanayo O. Kanayo slams Ghanaian actors who demand same fee as Nigerian actors on a movie set

Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) has slammed Ghanaian actors who demand to be paid the same fees he requests for.

Speaking to the Ghanaian media shortly after arriving Accra, the Ghanain capital for a movie project, KOK claimed some Ghanaian actors have formed the habit of asking producers to pay them the same fees they pay Nigerian actors before they can work on any project together.

‘’I am KOK. I was among the founding fathers. You now wake up in Ghana…They call KOK to come and act in Ghana; you Ghanaian boy, will now insist they pay you the same fees as me. It happens even up to today. There is hierarchy even in heaven. In the movie industry, there is hierarchy.

Negotiate what you want to be paid. Don’t equate yourself with me.

Tell your Ghanaian brothers and sisters, it is not your business what they pay Nigerian actors. Go and negotiate your own, receive it and go and rest, and then you will have peace in your life; otherwise, I will invoke Amadioha’’’’

KOK said the ‘’nonsense’’ even happened in the production he is about to work with in Ghana. He threatened to call names of some of such Ghanaian actors but was prevailed upon not to.
