Blaming opposition for hunger is ‘delusion’, Atiku tells Tinubu Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of blaming the opposition for the country’s economic hardship. He said the President was trying to evade responsibility for his administration’s policies. Tinubu had earlier on Saturday blamed his political opponents for hunger and poverty in the country while speaking at the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna. “I hear my opponent talking about hunger, poverty. Who created it? They did! They created the hunger, they created the poverty. We are trying to eradicate it,” the President said. Atiku, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, said Nigerians were entitled to demand answers from the APC-led government over rising living costs, poverty, insecurity and questions surrounding public expenditure.  RCCG pastor slumps and dies while preaching about death at a funeral service in Rivers

Residents of Aleto community in Eleme, River State and members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God church in the area were thrown into shock and mourning on Friday, October 2, after the officiating minister at a funeral in the community and resident TCCG pastor, Deacon Steve Eyo, suddenly collapsed and was later pronounced dead.

PM News reports that the cleric had attended the funeral and was preaching on the topic-“The Certainty of Death and Hope Beyond.”

Eyewitnesses said the cleric told the mourners that death was certain and cannot be avoided, adding that everyone must pass through it, and that death is like going to the market. The cleric was quoted to have said that some people leave the market early, while others stay until late. In the same way, some people d!e early, while others live longer, adding that death can come when we least expect it.

However, 15 minutes into his sermon, the cleric suddenly fell down, with the microphone landing on the floor with a loud sound.

At first, some people thought he was demonstrating how suddenly death can happen, because he had just been talking about death until it was obvious that it was a serious matter

He was quickly taken to the back while the church choir and ministers gathered around him and prayed. Some people with medical knowledge also gave him first aid.

A medical person later said that his breathing had stopped. He was then rushed to the nearest hospital in the same ambulance that had been hired to carry the remains of the deceased.

It was at the hospital that the cleric was confirmed dead and taken to the mortuary.
