 Tanzania, Angola to link ocean transport corridors by rail Tanzania and Angola have agreed to connect their Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean transport corridors with a railway link via Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan said. The Benguela railway in Angola will join the Tanzania-Zambia Railway line to Tanzania's port of Dar es Salaam, linking the Lobito corridor on the Atlantic coast with the central corridor on the Indian Ocean coast.

The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences.  South Africa unveils Durban as host city for Olympic Games bid The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) has unveiled the coastal city of Durban as its preferred host to bring the Olympics to Africa. South Africa will bid for either the 2036 or 2040 Games, SASCOC acting president Lwandile Simelane told reporters on Thursday. The South African government has backed the bid after the cabinet approved it. SASCOC will deliver presentations to the International Olympic Committee's Future Host Commission in November, with feasibility reviews concluding in March 2027 and a final host selection in 2029.
