BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE FOUR SUSPECTS ARRESTED OVER FARMER-HERDER CLASH IN NINGI LGA THAT CLAIMED ONE LIFE Following the unfortunate farmer-herder clash at Guda Village in Ningi Local Government Area, the Command wishes to inform the public that four suspects have now been arrested in connection with the incident. On 23rd September, 2026 at about 0740hrs, three farmers from Guda Village went to their farms on Guda Hill and found cattle belonging to a herder grazing on and destroying their crops. They chased the cattle to the herders' settlement where an argument ensued and degenerated into a fight. In the process, the three farmers sustained injuries. Sadly, in retaliation, some youths from Guda Village mobilized and set ablaze houses at the herders settlement. Operatives from Ningi Division responded promptly, restored normalcy and evacuated the injured to General Hospital Ningi. 3 arrested in Kebbi over fake N17m notes Three persons have been arrested by the police in Kebbi state for being in possession of fake N17m notes.   The State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, said the suspects were arrested with the help of members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at Warrah Motor Park in Warrah area of the state.    The suspects have been identified as Faruku Zubairu, Ibrahim Musa and Salisu Mohammed from Gungun Tawaye and Chupamini villages in Ngaski local government area of the state.  The Kwara State Police Command has paraded a former Chief Medical Director (CMD) of government-owned Kaiama general hospital, Kaiama local government area of the state, Dr. Abass Adio Adeyemi, for m¥rder and organ harvesting.   It would be recalled that the decomposed bodies of two missing women were found b¥ried in a shallow grave in the doctor's office.   Before then, the suspect, who hails from Offa LGA of Kwara State, was arrested for k!lling a cab driver, Emmanuel Yobo Agbovinuere.    He allegedly k!lled the victim in Benin City, Edo state, dumped his corpse at Otofure community on the Benin-Lagos highway and absconded with the deceased's vehicle.   Speaking while parading the 36- year-old suspect in Ilorin on Monday evening, February 20, 2023, the state Police commissioner, Paul Odama, said that the command is closing in on other members of syndicate involved in the crime.    According to the CP, the suspected allegedly sedated some of his ...

Early this morning, a politically  motivated  violent protest took place in Sagamu, during which innocent people were attacked while banks and public infrastructures were destroyed  and razed  down by fire . We were reliably informed that some  disgruntled members of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), whose members and some of the party’s candidates were seen leading the demonstration. While the protests were purportedly against the “scarcity of naira notes”, the real intention of these elements became obvious with the involvement of known PDP members. Ogun Police arrest 27 suspects over destruction of banks, violence The Ogun State Police Command has arrested 27 suspects in connection with the pandemonium that broke out in Sagamu on Monday morning. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this on Monday, a few hours after the violence, which led to the destruction of two banks, broke out. Oyeyemi in a terse statement said normalcy has returned to the area. He said “normalcy has been restored in greater parts of Sagamu now. CP Frank Mba is personally leading police teams and some military men to tackle the situation. There had been reports of violence that broke out on Monday morning when some irate youths in Sagamu, Ogun State, went on the rampage following their inability to withdraw cash. With bonfires, the protesters barricaded the Sagamu-Benin expressway and others, preventing human and vehicular movements. Watch video and more photos below
