 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court.                                                                                                  AN IBADAN CHIEF MAGISTRATE COURT SITTING AT IYAGANKU TODAY REMANDED YEKINI KAZEEM 18YRS AND IFEANYI EZEKIEL 18YRS FOR ALLEGEDLY RAPING 17YRS OLD GIRL.THEY WERE ARRAIGNED ON A TWO COUNT CHARGE OF CONSPIRACY AND RAPE .THE GIRL WAS ON AN ERRAND FOR HER GRAND MOTHER WHEN THE ACCUSED POUNCED ON HER.THE OFFENCE WAS COMMITTED ON OCT 14 AT ABOUT 8PM AT IJOKODO AGBSJE AREA OF IBADAN.THE OFFENCE CONTAVENED SEC 357 AND 516 AND IS PUNISHABLE UNDER SEC 358 OF THE CRIMINAL CODE.THE PLEAS OF THE ACCUSED WERE NOT TAKEN.THE CHIEF MAGISTRATE RISIKAT EBELOKU MUSTAPHA ORDERED THE ACCUSED TO BE REMANDED AT AGODI PRISON PENDING THE OUT COME OF LEGAL ADVICE FROM THE DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC PROSECUTION.THE CASE WAS ADJOURNED TILL NOVEMBER 26 FOR MENTION.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
