 MODEL COLLEGES/UPGRADED JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMMENCE E-REGISTRATION FOR YEAR 2025 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The Lagos State Government has commenced Year 2025 e-Registraton Entrance Examination (Screening Test) for primary 6 pupils transiting to junior secondary schools into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.  The Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu confirmed that the e-Registration will commence on Thursday 6th February and ends on Friday, 16th May, 2025, adding that the Screening will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) only between Wednesday, 28th May and Friday, 30th May, 2025, at the various CBT designated centres across the State. Mr. Orunsolu stressed that qualified pupils from public and private Schools are to pay a sum of #10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) for the Application. 2 REMANDED OVER RAPE OF 17YRR OLD.

                                                                                                 AN IBADAN CHIEF MAGISTRATE COURT SITTING AT IYAGANKU TODAY REMANDED YEKINI KAZEEM 18YRS AND IFEANYI EZEKIEL 18YRS FOR ALLEGEDLY RAPING 17YRS OLD GIRL.THEY WERE ARRAIGNED ON A TWO COUNT CHARGE OF CONSPIRACY AND RAPE .THE GIRL WAS ON AN ERRAND FOR HER GRAND MOTHER WHEN THE ACCUSED POUNCED ON HER.THE OFFENCE WAS COMMITTED ON OCT 14 AT ABOUT 8PM AT IJOKODO AGBSJE AREA OF IBADAN.THE OFFENCE CONTAVENED SEC 357 AND 516 AND IS PUNISHABLE UNDER SEC 358 OF THE CRIMINAL CODE.THE PLEAS OF THE ACCUSED WERE NOT TAKEN.THE CHIEF MAGISTRATE RISIKAT EBELOKU MUSTAPHA ORDERED THE ACCUSED TO BE REMANDED AT AGODI PRISON PENDING THE OUT COME OF LEGAL ADVICE FROM THE DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC PROSECUTION.THE CASE WAS ADJOURNED TILL NOVEMBER 26 FOR MENTION.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
