 PDP: Defection of Delta gov, others unfortunate –Damagum •Says 2027 contest between Tinubu and Nigerians Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) acting national chairman, Umar Damagum, has described the defection of the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori and top members of the opposition party in the state to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as unfortunate. Damagum, who stated this at the presentation of Certificate of Return to the PDP candidate for the November 8 Anambra State governorship poll, Jude Ezenwafor, said the party least expected that leaders of the Delta PDP would defect to the ruling party. Senator James Manager, had after a meeting in Government House, Asaba, reportedly announced the defection of Oborevwori and leaders of the Delta PDP to the APC. Top shots, who defected alongside the governor, include his predecessor and PDP 2023 vice presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa. BLACK BOX REVEALS THAT PILOTS WERE ARGUING BEFORE AGAGUs PLANE CRASHED.

                                         IT WAS DISCOVERED FROM THE INFORMATION GATHERED FROM THE BLACK BOX FOR THE ASSOCIATED AIRLINES AIRCRAFT THAT CRASHED ON THE 3RD OF OCT IN LAGOS NIGERIA AND KILLED 15 PEOPLE.THERE APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN AN ARGUMENT BETWEEN THE CAPTAIN AND THE FIRST OFFICER OF THE ASSOCIATED AIRLINE AIRCRAFT.APPROXIMATELY FOUR SECONDS AFTER ENGINE POWER WAS ADVANCED TO COMMENCE THE TAKE OFF ROLL,THE CREW RECEIVED AN AUTOMATED WARNING FROM THE  ON BOARD COMPUTER VOICE WHICH CONSISTED OF THREE CHIMES FOLLOWED BY TAKE OFF FLAPS.THIS IS A CONFIGURATION WARNING THAT SUGGEST THAT THE FLAPS WERE NOT IN CORRECT POSITION FOR TAKE OFF.THE FIRST OFFICER THEN SUGGESTED TO THE PILOT TO ABORT TAKE OFF BUT YAKUBU ABDULRAH MAN PROCEEDED AND TOOK OFF.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
