 A Texas man recently told police "I was doing witchcraft to kill my mom" when officers arrived at his family home for a welfare check. The Fort Worth Police Department was called to a home on Farmers Branch Street at 1:30 p.m. on April 18th. Police were responding to perform a welfare check after they were contacted by a friend of 23-year-old Alexander Valdez (pictured below). The friend informed police that Valdez had sent a disturbing image to a group chat that appeared to show a very injured, possibly deceased woman.  When officers arrived, Valdez answered the door covered in blood and carrying a Bible. When police asked why he was covered in blood  he told them, "it was an exorcism". When pressed he went on to say, "I was doing witchcraft to k*** my mom".  Once police made entry to the home they discovered Valdez's mother, 58-year-old Tersita Sayson, suffering from significant trauma to her head and upper body.  Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
