STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi. As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child. I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them. Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour. My prayers are with the family. Six suspects were arrested by special task force on anti pipeline vandalism unit,including a 65 year old man salami amodu who thought the petrol was holy water.The other people arrested were bruce ekonen,joseph ofoeyeno,francis ode and kola ifatoye with about 100 gallons of PMS alleged to have been vandalized from Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation ,NNPC pipe line at idimagboro in sagamu area of ogun state.The 65 year old baba claimed he was on his way back home when one alfa stopped him,promised to pay him N5,000 per trip if he can help him carry 10 gallons of liquid.he thought it was holy water so he didnt bother to ask since it 's a good business.it was while he was carrying the gallons that he percieved the odour of fuel.he was very angry at the alfa and wanted to off load the vehicle but realize that they were almost close to their destination thats when he decided to continue.all the suspects will be arraigned in court at the end of all investigations.
