Bandits Attack Southern Kaduna Village, Kill Two, Abduct Seven Suspected bandits launched a daytime attack on Awon village in Southern Kaduna on Monday, killing two residents and abducting seven others, further intensifying concerns over insecurity in the area. According to reports, about 30 armed men arrived on at least 15 motorcycles around 9:00 a.m., splitting into groups and opening fire indiscriminately on villagers. A local source said the attackers stormed Awon village and began shooting shortly after arrival. Two residents, identified as Joseph Sule and Awilo Madugu, were killed during the assault. Seven others were kidnapped, including Gift Victor, Hannatu Yusuf, Salina Sam, Silvia Sam, Dogarah Maisamari, Hassana Bulus, and Joy Samaila.
