 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. 5 DIE'S IN MOTOR ACCIDENT.

       On tuesday 5 youths were killed in a ghastly motor accident involving a Camry car and a parked Toyota Hiace commercial bus in old Jebba road in Ilorin East Local Government Area Kwara State.Two others sustained injuries and were rushed to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital,UITH where doctors are battling to save their lives.the accident occured around about 9pm when a Camry car heading towards Ilorin metropolis from Jebba rammed into a stationary Toyota Hiace bus before knocking down the youths.witnesses said the driver of the Camry car,was suspected to be drunk and escaped from the scene immediately after the accident.one more picture below.                                                                                   The toyota camry car burnt by angry youths        The Toyota Camry was burnt by angry youths.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
