 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. 500 BUILDING DESTROYED BY THE POLICE.

•One of the demolished houses in Badagry, this morning           This morning at Polome community,Mowo Phase II Badagry,Lagos state,on the orders of the Inspector General of police,Mohammed Abubakar.Over 200 armed policemen and seven bulldozers took part in the operation which was aimed at reclaiming the land,said to belong to the police from trespassers.The operation was led by ACP Osu Ekpo.The affected owners of the land admitted that the land was sold to them by land speculators some years ago,adding that they did not have C of O over the land but laid speculators started encroaching on the land when the authorities failed to do something on it.When the police discovered the encroachment,they issued a quit notice to the owners of the houses  to vacate the land in 2011.The last notice was served to them two weeks ago.Some occupants of the houses were caught unawares as they did not expect the police to strike.Many of them could not retrieve their properties while a few others were able to salvage a few of their belongings.Some of them were seen hurriedly packing their loads to prevent them from being destroyed by the bull dozers.
