NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. The police in Lagos have declared a hotel manager ,Imole Abiodun,wanted for his alleged involvement in the stealing and selling of a 2 years old baby in Ikotun area of Lagos state.Abiodun the manager of Francis Inn Hotel located at Olu Odunisi street,off Abiola Adeyemi street,Ikotun,ran away after the arrest of two women charged with human trafficking.Mrs Grace Onye,one of the women involved in the child trafficking confessed that the hotel manager who is on the run was also aware of the illegal act.she said she was introduced to Abiodun by Samuel who brought a stolen two year old baby to her in the night and collected N300,000.the son of the owner of the hotel Sadiq said Abiodun fled when he learnt that detectives from the SCID,Panti ,Yaba,Lagos visited the hotel to interrogate him over the matter.the detectives have intensified efforts to recover all the stolen babies allegedlly bought by Onye and sold to unidentified clients.
