STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi. As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child. I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them. Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour. My prayers are with the family. When her image appeared on the cover of Flare magazine,she was looking thinner.She openly spoke out about her body confidence and desire to look healthy,has been slimmed down in several places including her hips,waist and face.Her collar bones have been accentuated and her neck lengthened to give her ass curvy,more silhouette.During her interview with Flare,she spoke about her body image and said she did prefer to look like a real person.She said '' I did rather look a little chubby on camera and look like a person in real life,than to look like a scare crow in real life.She also said ''When we were doing the first Hunger games,it was a big discussion,because it's called The Hunger Games,and she is from District 12,she is obviously under fed,so she would be incredibly thin,but i just kept saying,we have the ability to control this image that young girls are going to be seeing.Girls see enough of this body that we can't imitate,that we will never be able to obtain,these unrealistic expectations,and this is gonna be their her,and we have control over that''.More photos below.
