 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. YINUA GANIYU,KILLED ALHAJI MUDA OYEBANJI,THROUGH RECKLESS DRIVING.

                                                                               Lagos state Director of Public Prosecution {DPP}has established a case of reckless and dangerous driving causing death against Yinusa Ganiyu a driver.today wenesday,at Surulere magistrate court showed that a prima facie case was established against him.the accused hit a bus from behind ,causing two passengers,including the driver of the bus and the deceased to sustained injuries.the injury sustained by one Alhaji muda Oyebanji 68,led to his death.the accused was not focused in his driving and that he lost control of the vehicle,causing the accident.the advice from the DPP stated that the accused should be prosecuted for reckless and dangerous driving and for causing death.the accused was arraigned on OCT 19,and his facing two count charge before the court.the offence committed contravened section 19 and 20 of the Road Traffic Act of Lagos state.Ganiyu pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties.the case was Adjourned to December 17 for mention.
