 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. 4 OF LCDA STAFF,ARRESTED FOR EXTORTION.

•Four staff of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, LCDA, arrested for allegedly extorting money from motorists under the guise that they are traffic officers         The four staff's arrested are Balogun Fatai,Ayo Fapohunda,Oyetunji Olabisi and Rahimi Kamilu of Ikosi,Isheri Local Council Development Area,LCDA,have been arrested for allegedly extorting money from motorist under the guise that they are traffic officers.In two days of their operation,the four suspects had extorted about N180,000 by finning motorist they arrested illegally.They met their water loo when they attempted to extort money from a motorist at Lagos toll gate.The motorist reported the matter at the task force office which led to the arrest of the suspected culprits.According to Tony Nanewodo,owner of mercedes Benz C-class 2013 model,was arrested at the toll gate for stopping to ease himself,but lamented that he was issued ticked for picking up a passenger on the road,an act he never committed.One of the suspect,Fatai,said they remit the money collected to the purse of the council and that the council employed the services of a consultant to help in collecting the money from motorists.
