 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. CARMEN ZAPATA,SISTERS ACT STAR,DIES AT 86YEARS.

A class act: Carmen played a Choir Nun in the 1992 movie Sister Act and the 1993 sequel Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit         She appeared alongside Whoopi Goldberg in both Sisters Act and Sisters Act 2.She passed away at her home in Van Nuys on Sunday.Her organization-Bilingual foundation of the Arts also revealed that Carmen had been dealing with an illness and a heart condition for sometime.She had acted in Death in Granada with Andy Grarcia,The Bold Ones,Married With Children,Falcon Crest,LA Law and Dr Quinn,and Medicine Woman etc.She was a New Yorker native,with a Mexican father and Argentine mother.She received a star on the Hollywood walk of fame in 2003,and was Knighted by King Juan Carlos of Spain in 1990.Carmen made her Broadway debut in 1946.She also performed in musicals such as guys,Dolls and Carnivals.She was a leading force in show casing Latino culture in Los Angeless.More pictures below.                                 Heyday: Actress Carmen Zapata - seen here in Hands of Love in 1971 - died at the age of 86 on Sunday at her home in Van NuysLegend: Carmen receives her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles in October 2003

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
