 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. CARMEN ZAPATA,SISTERS ACT STAR,DIES AT 86YEARS.

A class act: Carmen played a Choir Nun in the 1992 movie Sister Act and the 1993 sequel Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit         She appeared alongside Whoopi Goldberg in both Sisters Act and Sisters Act 2.She passed away at her home in Van Nuys on Sunday.Her organization-Bilingual foundation of the Arts also revealed that Carmen had been dealing with an illness and a heart condition for sometime.She had acted in Death in Granada with Andy Grarcia,The Bold Ones,Married With Children,Falcon Crest,LA Law and Dr Quinn,and Medicine Woman etc.She was a New Yorker native,with a Mexican father and Argentine mother.She received a star on the Hollywood walk of fame in 2003,and was Knighted by King Juan Carlos of Spain in 1990.Carmen made her Broadway debut in 1946.She also performed in musicals such as guys,Dolls and Carnivals.She was a leading force in show casing Latino culture in Los Angeless.More pictures below.                                 Heyday: Actress Carmen Zapata - seen here in Hands of Love in 1971 - died at the age of 86 on Sunday at her home in Van NuysLegend: Carmen receives her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles in October 2003
