 ASUU Strikes Return to Nigerian State Universities Over Salary Disputes The Resurgence of Academic Disruptions in State-Owned Institutions While federal universities in Nigeria enjoy a period of relative stability, a familiar shadow is falling over state-owned tertiary institutions. Academic activities are grinding to a halt across several states, from Lagos to Ondo, as branches of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) reactivate strike actions.
