 Alleged Defilement: Ogun Drops Charges Against School Proprietor, Cites Lack of Evidence …decries social media incitement against the accused, govt The Ogun State Government has decided not to press charges against the proprietor of Perfect Life School, Igode-Remo, Mr. Ashafa Samson Adelaja, over allegations of defilement. According to the state Ministry of Justice, following its findings after a thorough investigation of the allegations against Adelaja, the State Government, on Thursday, informed the Chief Magistrate sitting in the Sagamu Magisterial District that it would not be bringing any charges against him. Accordingly, Mr. Ashafa was unconditionally released from prison custody, according to a statement issued by the ministry.          According to sources,despite the public outcry,against Stella Oduah,the president is not contemplating her removal for now.It was gathered that apart from his conviction that the minister is doing a good job in the aviation sector,the president has also come under tremedous presure from leading Igbo groups and personalities who argued that Stella Oduah is being unduly persecuted.Sources also claimed that Stella Oduah is getting set to roll out the Campaign structure of neigbour to neigbour for president Jonathan's re-election president Ebele Jonathan showned nine ministers the way of the Federal Executive Council there by bringing the number of vacant ministerial positions in the cabinet to 12.The affected ministers were Education,Prof Ruqayyatu Rufai,science and Technology,Ita Okon Ekwa,foreign Affairs,Olugbenga Ashiru,Enviroment,Hadiza Mailafa,National planning,Dr Shamsudeen Usmanand Housing,lands and Urban Development,Ama Pepple.The ministers of state affected were Defence,Olushola Obada,Agriculture,Alhaji Buka Tijani and power,Zainab Kuchi.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
