 Germany and Austria to tap oil reserves after 400 million barrels requested  Germany and Austria announced they are releasing portions of their oil reserves in response to an International Energy Agency request for member nations to collectively release 400 million barrels to help ease rising energy prices linked to the Iran conflict. Japan also said it will begin releasing part of its reserves starting Monday. The move marks one of the largest coordinated releases of emergency oil stocks in history. The previous record came in 2022, when IEA members released 182.7 million barrels following the energy disruptions caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Member countries currently hold over 1.2 billion barrels of public emergency oil stocks, along with an additional 600 million barrels of industry stocks maintained under government requirements.          According to sources,despite the public outcry,against Stella Oduah,the president is not contemplating her removal for now.It was gathered that apart from his conviction that the minister is doing a good job in the aviation sector,the president has also come under tremedous presure from leading Igbo groups and personalities who argued that Stella Oduah is being unduly persecuted.Sources also claimed that Stella Oduah is getting set to roll out the Campaign structure of neigbour to neigbour for president Jonathan's re-election president Ebele Jonathan showned nine ministers the way of the Federal Executive Council there by bringing the number of vacant ministerial positions in the cabinet to 12.The affected ministers were Education,Prof Ruqayyatu Rufai,science and Technology,Ita Okon Ekwa,foreign Affairs,Olugbenga Ashiru,Enviroment,Hadiza Mailafa,National planning,Dr Shamsudeen Usmanand Housing,lands and Urban Development,Ama Pepple.The ministers of state affected were Defence,Olushola Obada,Agriculture,Alhaji Buka Tijani and power,Zainab Kuchi.
