  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. LUCAS ANYA A MOTORCYCLIST,CRUSHED BY A DANFO TO DEATH.

•Lucas Anya                                              The picture above is Lucas Anya,a motorcyclist from Nassarawa state,was crushed yesterday thursday to death,including a passenger to death at Alagbole,a border town between Ogun and Lagos state,by 9.30pm and they were coming from berger bus stop in Lagos.Another passenger who sustained injuries was taken to Mainland General Hospital,on Lagos Island.The driver of the bus is said to be on the run and the police are on his trail.One of the riders,who accompanied the police to a private mortuary in Ajuwon,Life Channel funeral home,where the two corpses were deposited,identified the deceased rider as Lucas Anya from Nassarawa state.Usman Ali,who claimed to be a relative of the deceased rider say's the deceased was recently involved in an accident which he is just recovering from before his unfortunate death.
