 "Worth It" — Woman Pleads Guilty to Fatally Shooting 11-Month-Old Son to Keep Him From Father Madeline Veronique Daly, 36, pleaded guilty this week in Silver City, New Mexico, to first-degree murder in the December 23, 2025 killing of her 11-month-old son, Basil Stoner. Grant County deputies had tracked her to an RV off Highway 15 on a Wyoming kidnapping warrant after she took the baby during a custody dispute with his father, Jake Stoner. While officers waited for a warrant and tried to negotiate, Daly put a 9mm handgun to the boy’s face and fired. According to the criminal complaint, Daly told investigators her thought when she saw law enforcement approach was: “Jake can’t get Basil.” After her arrest she said it was “worth it” if Basil’s father and his family never got him. Okwuokei Peter: arrested                                               NDLEA,National Drug Law Enforcement Agency,made these discovery during screening of cargoes on a south African Airlines flight at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos,where they seized 9.2 kilogrammes of methamphetamine hidden inside palm oil.The drug was being exported to south Africa.A taxi driver,named Okwuokei Peter who brought the consignment has been apprehended by anti-narcotic officials,NDLEA.The suspect said that he was sending the drug to his regular passenger.He said ''one of my regular passengers asked me to send the gallon of oil to him.I thought i was doing him a favour but little did i know that it will land me in a big trouble.The suspect who hails from Delta state,lives in Lagos with his wife and four children.                                                                                                                        41parcels of meth hidden in a tin of palm oil
