Trump issues pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer after insider trading conviction President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer, who served nearly two years in prison after being convicted of insider trading tied to post-congressional consulting work. Buyer was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for illegal stock trades made while working as a consultant and lobbyist. He was ordered to forfeit more than $350,000 in ill-gotten gains and pay a $10,000 fine. He was released from custody in 2025 after his conviction was upheld, with the Supreme Court declining to take up his appeal earlier this year. A private jet has crashed and exploded in flames at the airport for Luxury ski resort town Aspen as horrified passengers looked on,killing at least one person on board.Three people were on the aircraft,including the pilot,when it crashed on the runway about 12.30pm local time,before over turning and bursting into flames.One was killed,one has major injuries and the other has moderate injuries.None of the three have been identified.The plane is said to have attempted a few approaches before crashing in a ball of fire.Emergency crews rushed to extinguish the flames and are currently investigating the cause of the crash.Singer Leann Rimes was among those who saw the explosion.More pictures below.
