 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. To ease parking challenges, designated car parks have been arranged for public use, these include; the Yoruba Lawn Tennis Club Car Park, Zone 2 Car Park (opposite Island Club along King George V Road), Museum Kit...

Awaiting trial: Apollo is currently on a $25,000 bond after receiving bail and will face a preliminary hearing February 12                       Apollo Nida,was not only charged for fraud,but also for identity theft.Apollo who often appears on his wife's reality shoe appeared before a US District court on thursday but was granted pre-trail bail.He was investigated by the Secret Service counter feit and US Treasury check squad.Apollo allegedly created fake companies,enabling him to access data bases to find individuals to rip off.He opened fake bank accounts under those real names and funneled stolen US treasury checks and auto loan proceeds into those accounts.A woman identified as Gayla St Julien,who was arrested in september last year and allegedly had $3million in multiple bank accounts tied to her.She described herself as Nida's right hand b**** in executing the legwork of his fraud schemes.She says she receives scraps compared to what Apollo was earning.Apollo had previously spent time in prison from 2004-2009 for auto title fraud.The year he was released he marrie Phaedra,who is ironically an attorney.The couple have two children together,Dylan,10months and Ayden,3.Apollo is currently on a $25,000 bond and will face a preliminary hearing February 12.Facing charges: On Thursday, Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks' husband, Apollo Nida, (pictured 2011) was reportedly questioned by US Marshals in Atlanta, Georgia and charged with bank fraud and identity theft.Off screen drama: Phaedra (centre) is an attorney and stars on the show with (L-R) Cynthia Bailey, NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
