 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. SUDDEN RAIN,NOT THE BEGINNING OF RAINING SEASON-NIMET.

a flooded street after a rain                                     This picture above is a flooded street in Abuja,after a heavy rainfall,in which a meteorological Agency {NIMET} said on saturday that the rain which fell on friday evening in the FCT and it's environmnt was not the beginning of rainny season.They explained that ''The sudden weather change occured over Abuja around 4pm is due to  rapid northward movement of the line of demarcation between the south westerly winds.The winds brought moisture from the Atlantic ocean and the dry north eastely wins from the Sahara Desert''.They further explained that this type of weather occasionally occurs in January when the atmosphere becomes unstable and there is enough moisture in the atmosphere.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
