 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. Dollar policeman: Aniyem Chiyem: Arrested                                         CPL Aniyem Chiyem,F/No 374171,who was attached to Isheri police command was afrrested after he was caught in a hidden camera allegedly demanding dollar bribe from an unknow citizen.His arrest was sequel to a matching order issued by the IG of police,to ensure arrest and further investigation.Aniyem is now in police custody,and under going orderly room trials and if found guilty will face appropiate disciplinary actions.
