World’s Youngest Reigning Monarch , King Oyo, Dies at 34 King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom who became the world’s youngest reigning monarch after ascending the throne at three, has died at the age of 34. The monarch reportedly died on Thursday, with the Prime Minister of the Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announcing his death on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. However, Ugandan media reports quoted a government minister as saying that King Oyo had been critically ill and was receiving medical treatment in the United States. Reacting to the development, Akiiki described the monarch’s death as a major loss to the royal family and the people of Tooro. He urged members of the kingdom to remain united and calm while mourning the traditional ruler. They are called the Lebanese Nigeria Initiative,a group of Lebanese business men and women in Lagos.Not only did they donate N80million but also donated a troop carrier truck.Presenting the cheque,Haddad said the donation was made in the name of the Lebanese business community that it was to show the appreciation the Lebanese community had towards Nigeria.She said ''This country had allowed our Lebanese citizens to establish business which has afforded them the opportunity to contribute to the country's economy.It also helped us to show appreciation to the state government'ts effort to ensure that the state is well secured.We hope that this contribution will further boost the provision of security apparatus in the state''.Governor Fashola was presented with the check and he thanked them for it.One more picture below.
