 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. NURSE MURDER'S A PATIENCE BABY AND STILL WALKS AROUND FREE.

The tiny baby had to have a heart operation and so was moved to the hospital - which is in the same trust as the scandal hit Bristol Children's Hospital            A premature baby boy was murdered by a nurse after the nurse removed him from a ventilator without his parents permission while he was receiving treatment in a hospital.The baby boy was named Rohan Rhodes and he was born 14 weeks prematurely at Singleton Hospital in Swansee in August 2012.Though he was very premature,he got through the critical first few weeks and was doing well in the hospital intensive care unit.The baby was to be transfered to another hospital St Michael,for heart surgery but he needed the ventilator to help him fill his lungs with oxygen.A nurse who had no authority to withdraw the life support device turned off the ventilator.The baby had a series of cardiac arrests and tragically died the following day.Up till date,the nurse who took off his ventilator is still working at the hospital and no action like revoking her license was taken up by the hospital after complaints from the couple.The baby crib wooden crib made by his dad was transformed into his coffin.More pictures below.                                                                                             Rohan Rhodes, who was born 14 weeks early, pictured on a life support system in hospital.
