 Milam county, Texas- A high school baseball player and his parents lose their lives in an awful car crash on the way to his game, leaving behind a lone grieving daughter. 43-year-old Clint, and 39-year-old Meghan McCaffety were traveling in a Ford Sedan with their 16-year-old son Connor at 4:40 p.m. on Monday, March 31st.  The family were on their way to one of Connor's baseball games. The trio were traveling on Highway 36 . The family stopped their vehicle at a construction zone  in the west bound lane when a Kia SUV pulled up and stopped behind them. As the two vehicles waited for the light to change, an 18 wheeler came barreling in behind the vehicles and slammed into both cars.  The collision caused the Kia to roll into the ditch and the 45-year-old woman who was operating the Kia was rushed to the hospital.  The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time.  Clint, Meghan and Conner were all pronounced deceased on scene.  Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
